Still no camera. I definitely had it at the park on Friday, and I’m pretty sure I used it after we got home that afternoon. Although it’s possible that it’s forever lost in the sandbox.
Jon and I had back-to-back dentist appointments today, at what turned out to be the world’s most thorough dentist. Really, we feel kind of ripped off about our previous dental experiences compared to this woman. I went first while Jon took Nathan for a walk, but due to assorted delays Jon ended up having to amuse Nathan in the waiting room. Apparently Nathan was very sweet, and was hiding behind Jon’s leg and then peeking out to grin at the office ladies. They very kindly offered to watch him while Jon got his x-rays, and he did great, and rewarded Jon with a big hug when he came back.
On the way back to the car we had to stop and inspect the sidewalk for ants. We found several, and even discovered a strange tiny orange bug I’d never seen before. We also picked up and inspected several leaves. The bugs are clearly the main draw, though. He keeps signing “bug” and looking at me expectantly, and I’m pretty sure he’s asking me to produce one for him to look at.
Oh, and speaking of teeth, he has his first molar! It’s the front one on the lower left, so he now has the 8 in front plus this new guy. It’s far enough back that it’s been a little hard to confirm that it’s through, but we had a major giggle-fest during bathtime tonight and I got a couple of good looks at it. (I was pulling a towel up to my nose and then down again. I don’t know, I guess it’s hilarious if you’re one.)
