Nathan began the day by climbing into bed with me and immediately sneezing about twelve times in a row. This may or may not be related to the fact that he was a bit of a droopy mess all day.
Before we went out to Beeba and Zayde’s to celebrate the holiday, Ryan attempted to get Nathan and Sam to help her with an experiment involving sugar cookie swords and Oreo cookie dirt.
Then Nathan built a cool Playmobile set, which went rather better. And it came with two “guys” for Sam to play with while Nathan was busy building.
After that we had a brief chat with Grandma and Gramps. Sam has been asking frequently about visiting Grandma and Gramps and having Grandma and Gramps come visit him.
Then we all piled into the car and headed over to Beeba and Zayde’s. Beeba had prepared a Memorial Day craft coloring stars. I inexplicably failed to get pictures of the finished products, but here are some process shots.
For dinner, Beeba and Zayde made many delicious things plus, by special request from Nathan, Kraft macaroni and cheese. Guess what the two boys ate.
On the way home, the setting sun was too bright for Sam, so I gave him my sunglasses.
