I’ve once again fallen way behind, so I’m going to try to do a post for each of the past few months to get us up to date. This is May.
Somehow or other we wound up with lots of big cardboard boxes around here recently. Sam decided that this one was his store. It sells paper and markers, but only one at a time. Then you have to draw something with the marker and give both marker and paper back to the store. Later, Nathan opened a bookstore that mostly sold Star Wars related books.
Sam graduated from pre-school (Yay!) and performed in their Dem Bones skit, which was delightful, in spite of the child who went totally off-script and threw himself on the floor.
Nathan jumped up to hug Sam, which was very sweet, though once he realized people were looking at him, he totally over-milked the moment.
The celebration culminated in this “cake” made of tiny ice cream sandwiches.
We also had a graduation party for Sam. You can read all about the cake here: http://www.doitmyself.org/2014/05/dem-bones-cake.html. It was, of course, Dem Bones themed. While I was finishing it, Sam cut little strips of paper and taped them to his legs and feet as his bones.
We also went to the Maker Faire this month, which was, always, a magical wonderland of robots, fire, and exhausted boys.
As a special bonus, please enjoy this photo of Sam where he shows off the pointy lip her gets when he’s really upset. This is because Ryan letting him play with her fit bit was in some way unsatisfactory.
